Welcome to My Mormon Musings, a personal hub for me to explore ideas at the crossroads of faith, history, and philosophy. Several years ago I began going through a faith crisis myself. I am currently wading through the waters of post Mormonism and trying to decide where to take my life from here. I was born and raised in the church, and now I find myself 40 years old, married with kids in a dominate Mormon community. I am still attending church with my family. I want a place I can tell my story. Since deconstruction I don’t feel there is a single place I can fully belong.
One of the last things I read in hopes of salvaging my testimony was the light and truth letter, and Jonah Barnes’s The Key to the Keystone. Unfortunately they pushed me away farther from the church. I found both to be condescending and lacking any useful information.

I am currently unsure how long I may leave this site up. I would like this to be a growing collection of information. I want this to be my thoughts and ideas on things. You may notice pages being reorganized, new categories appearing, and older posts refreshed. I am really just interested in putting my thoughts in one place. Potentially writing more and putting things into a more coherent structure at some point.
